| Applause Productions & Publications has been in the entertainment & event business since 1983. Starting as an entertainment agency, the president, Lisa Owen, began booking local bands and entertainers for corporate events in the Dallas/Fort Worth area. Soon after, in 1989, the publication "D/FW Party & Event Planners Sourcebook" developed, and has been published annually ever since.
